First launched in 2006 by Ebel’s glamorous and radiant muse, Brazilian super-model Gisele Bündchen, the Brasilia line is distinguished by its gentle warmth and subtly structured design. The three new models, evocatively named “Limao”, “Amarelinha” and “Batida”, feature a Gent size case providing ample scope for displaying the fire of gems and the skill of the Ebel craftsmen. Each has its own distinct personality, yet they clearly share the same inspiration and the same vibrant energy. All of these spectacularly luminous creations convey an unmistakable Brazilian flavor through their vivid colors, bold designs… and names that also happen to be favorite cocktails. Moreover, each one of them expresses Ebel’s incredibly creative approach to gem-setting, backed by the impressive dexterity and precision that shine through both its jewelry and watchmaking expertise.
Other shared features include the fact that all three are driven by a reliable self-winding mechanical movement, graced by facetted baton-shaped hands coated with white Super-Luminova to enhance readability as they sweep over their sparkling background, and are secured by a black fabric strap complete with white gold folding clasp.

“Limao” means lime in Portuguese and this stunning model is every bit as sharply refreshing as its namesake. It is graced by a leafy motif composed of brilliant-cut blue sapphires and yellow citrines, set against a background of 177 brilliant-cut diamonds on the case, crown and dial. The motif is extended on either side by an embroidered pattern running over the strap, creating a magnificent sense of seamless continuity and natural charm.

“Amarelinha” is an exquisitely crafted watch evoking the luxuriant foliage and exotic colours of the Brazilian rain forest or exotic gardens. The gorgeous blossom motif, set off to its best advantage against a backdrop of brilliant-cut diamonds, is composed of four delicately sculpted mother-of-pearl petals with a ruby red heart and colorful blue sapphire and tsavorite tendrils adorning the dial and case.

“Batida” can mean many things, including a rhythmical pattern, and this glamorous jewelry model is certainly an invitation to feel the beat and maybe even catch carnival fever. The asymmetrical pattern created by the polished white gold bands radiating across the brilliant-set dial and case, resembles rays of sunshine sparkling on a sandy white beach.
