NIVREL Nova Limited
Just as the NIVREL Replique II also the Nova Limited was already announced at Baselworld 2008. Now, production processes are finished and the watch is available in a limited edition of only 30 pieces.
- NIVREL Nova Limited
The Nova Limited is a modified version of the Nova which was also introduced in 2008. The Nova itself (Reference N 150.001) is an elementary watch that provides a good value for the price of 770 Euro. By realizing this watch, NIVREL managed to meet several development goals: on the one hand the new model was supposed to be appealing to a broad target group and on the other hand it was designed to stay remarkably below the 1,000.00 Euro line. The NIVREL Nova is captivating with its classical appearance and presents itself as an elegant but also sportive timepiece. The clear, purposely plain dial is available in the three fashionable colours white, anthracite and brown. The watch is run by an automatic movement caliber ETA 2892-A2.
The now released NOVA Limited (Reference N 151.001) addresses watch lovers and collectors, especially because of its movement: The extremely flat caliber Lemania 8810 (2.95 mm). The movement which was originally developed under the name ‘Longines 990’ and later on bought by Lemania, has already earned its place as a rarity in the watch cabinets of many collectors. Temporarily it was considered to be the world’s flattest automatic movement. After the acquisition of Lemania by the Swatch Group in 1999 fewer and fewer watches were offered with this movement. Merely Breguet and some other high-class producers kept on using it. NIVREL also has a long tradition in building watches with the Lemania 8810 (esp. reference N 610.001).
In comparison to the NIVREL Nova, the Nova Limited is considerably flatter (7.4 mm). The Geneva stripes on the rotor complete the perfect picture. Both watches are waterresistant to 5 bars. The limitation of 30 pieces will for sure do its part to make the Nova Limited a rarity right from the start and an enrichment for the collection of its new owner.
