These strictly time-piece products are character pieces, combining the spirit of the jeweler with that of the watch maker, meeting the expectations of experts that appreciate Boucheron for its “perfectionist” approach. The House is very French in its exploration of the world of dandies, since its entire approach is about controlled discretion. Thus, to appeal to epicurean types, these dressy watches with the aristocratic soul are also worn as an accompaniment to diamonds.
The gadroon decoration of the boxes, which contributes significantly to the identification of the brand, is skilfully outlined with diamonds using a subtle crimping effect. In addition, since at this level of quality each detail is vital, it seemed essential to add stunning straps to the new pieces with movements from the manufacture. The straps are made from alligator skin and lined with the same material. This invisible detail allows Boucheron to emphasise the extent to which its watch-making approach, aimed at informed aesthetes, surely including women with a passion, embodies a crazy kind of sensuality.
Available in round or square and in pink gold or steel, these character pieces equipped with the GP 4000 calibre also stand apart from the other series thanks to the specially-designed dial. Its special features are its Roman numbers and its ellipse, whose softness is in some way evocative of the notion of the primordial egg, highlighted by a line of diamonds, crimped onto a lacquered hand-worked base.
