RAYMOND WEIL – Nabucco cuore caldo
The nabucco cuore caldo is the latest exceptional timepiece from RAYMOND WEIL. The independent Swiss watchmaker will be unveiling this double chronograph with power-reserve indicator – a first in the history of the company, produced in an exclusive limited edition of 500 – at Baselworld 2008. It pays tribute to everyone whose heart beats to the rhythm of passion…
The nabucco cuore caldo split-second chronograph with power-reserve indicator, in a limited edition of 500 (each timepiece is numbered 001/500 to 500/500 on the case-back), reinforces the link between RAYMOND WEIL and the world of chronographs and men’s mechanical watches.
It has the same charismatic design as the nabucco collection – 46mm in diameter, water-resistance to a depth of 200m (660ft), and immaculate finish… a combination of factors that have already made this collection an international success, and are certain to ensure the success of this new, exceptional timepiece.
Nabucco cuore caldo has an ETA bi-compax 7750 mechanical movement with self-winding chronograph, along with two additional complications: a split-second hand, for the first time in RAYMOND WEIL’s history; and a 42-hour power-reserve indicator. Thanks to the ETA bi-compax movement, RAYMOND WEIL’s engineers and designers have been able to playfully associate a power-reserve indicator at 6h30 with a 30-minute subdial at 3 o’clock and a 60-second subdial at 9.
The nabucco cuore caldo is a unique and exclusive timepiece – audacious, innovative, with a subtle blend of modern steel, ultra-light titanium and carbon fibre, and the warmth and finesse of 18ct pink gold. The black, check-patterned dial is protected by a 2.5mm sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-glare treatment.
The vulcanized rubber strap, with black leather inserts, has a steel folding-clasp with double push-piece security to ensure perfect comfort on the wrist.
The beauty of the watch’s workings can be admired through the screwed-down titanium case-back, heightened by a sapphire crystal that reveals the movement’s delicate finish, with its Côtes de Genève décor and circular graining.
The split-second chronograph: an intermediary timekeeper
The split-second chronograph facilitates intermediate timekeeping. This can be monitored on the nabucco cuore caldo by pressing the pusher on the crown at 3 o’clock, to stop the split-second hand while the chronograph hand continues to move. The time-period that has elapsed can thus be observed. By pressing the pusher a second time, the split-second hand is made to synchronize with the chronograph hand.
RAYMOND WEIL launches its first range of writing implements & accessories
To coincide with the launch of the nabucco cuore caldo limited edition, the Swiss watchmaker is presenting a range of luxury male accessories – another Brand innovation.
Each limited edition of the nabucco cuore caldo is presented in a luxury box-set along with an elegant, matching pair of fluted round cufflinks in gold-plate, steel and carbon fibre; and a brass/carbon fibre ball-point pen. The pen’s top and barrel have a satin finish with carbon fibre inserts. Each end features the Brand’s gold-plated monogram, recalling the 18-carat pink gold used for the nabucco cuore caldo.
These stylish male accessories, also in a limited edition, continue the spirit of the nabucco cuore caldo and, above all, that of the independent watchmaker. They’re sure to enchant connoisseurs of both fine watchmaking and exclusive de luxe accessories!
